JOB SUMMARY:

Reporting directly to the Vice President of Sales, the Business Development Coordinator serves a critical role in the growth and development of the company. They are required to deliver professional administrative and operational support to the sales team. They are a team player, working collaboratively with the sales team. They will work alongside the Canadian sales team to grow our business for security services in Canada. They will be responsible for satisfying the assigned dollar quota annually.

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE:

  • Diploma or bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or Technology required (bachelor’s Degree preferred) or equivalent work experience
  • 1-3 years of inside sales experience is required
  • Ability to explain to customers the value/benefit of security proposals
  • Knowledge of security solutions preferred
  • Intermediate working knowledge of MS Office and Salesforce.com
  • Ability to build customer rapport over the phone
  • Must have exceptional organizational skills; Ability to manage large numbers of opportunities simultaneously
  • Clear and concise communication skills verbally and in writing; active listening skills 
  • Experience building call campaigns regionally and vertically to prospect accounts
  • Comfortable making high volume prospecting calls daily to new customer contacts

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Developing and capitalizing on sales leads
  • Working with field and sales personnel on to address customer’s needs.
  • Developing customized products/solutions for the customer, including RFP response support for Sales
  • Maintaining account communications and relationships.  
  • Developing internal relationships in the sales and service organization to cultivate additional opportunities.
  • Managing customer data in Salesforce.com and expanding the total customer set

Job Requirements

POSITION SPECIFICATIONS:

  • Must be prepared to communicate with other members of the Senior Management team to effectively deal with day to day situations which may require other Management involvement.
  • Must possess excellent communication (both oral and written) and interpersonal skills to work with internal and external clients as well as suppliers.
  • Knowledge of sales and marketing support principles.
  • Strong grasp of spelling, grammar and punctuation.
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks.
  • Must be able to organize/prioritize in order to support an effective/efficient operation and accomplishment of stated goals.
  • Excellent team player with demonstrated ability to work within a team.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Knowledgeable and proficient in the use of MS Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint), Windows 365, Salesforce.com.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Degree in Business or Marketing required or equivalent work experience
  • 1-3 years of high volume sales experience required

  • Must undergo and meet company standards for background and reference checks, and behavioural selection survey
  • Handling and being exposed to sensitive and confidential information
  • Occasional use of vehicle required in the performance of duties
  • Occasional travel to various company offices and other locations
