JOB SUMMARY:

Reporting directly to the Vice President of Sales, Mobile Division, the Business Development Manager for the Mobile Division is responsible for working with prospective clients from a wide range of markets in order to identify and satisfy their security program needs.  The incumbent of this position must possess exceptional communication and presentation skills and flexibility in order to be able to build solid relationships with operational counterparts.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Sell new, Security Mobile & Technology (Systems) service contracts on behalf of Securitas Canada Mobile Division.
  • Analyze local market to identify market opportunities and conduct ongoing prospecting to identify new clients for the Mobile Division focusing on contract sales for patrol services, alarm response and some technology through a variety of techniques including telephone solicitation, cold calling, networking functions, door-to-door, site visits.
  • Maintains current list of all prospects/sales in electronic database as specified by the company.
  • Follows-up on referrals and self-generated leads to identify buyer’s needs.
  • Participates in trade associations and trade shows and assists in other promotional efforts.
  • Works with the company’s Mobile Services Operations management & VP of Sales to make recommendations, focus sales efforts and develop campaigns to maximize sales efforts, procedures and to satisfy prospect requirements.
  • Develop pricing and business development strategies in collaboration with and under the Direction of Area Management/VP Sales.
  • Develops and submits proposals and responses to RFQ’s, RFI’s and RFP’s issued by prospective clients after obtaining pricing and specifications approval from management as appropriate.
  • Ensure that all sales generated, meet Client needs as well as Company standards.
  • Establish and maintain an effective liaison with all prospective clients & managers through regularly scheduled calls, communications.
  • Prepares reports on status of leads & other as required.
  • Respond to all other work related functions, duties and specific tasks of a similar nature and scope as necessary to achieve sales goals/assigned business objectives and as requested by Management.
  • Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Must have a college diploma in a related discipline.
  • Minimum of two (2) years’ experience in sales preferably within the Security industry, or Mobile/Security Operations experience or business to business (door-to-door) services sales.
