We are seeking a National Accounts Manager in our North York, ON office!

We are looking for a strong Accounts Manager that is passionate about the Security Industry. As a National Accounts Manager with Securitas you will establish and maintain profitable relationships with customers on behalf of the company, actively prospect for new customers, and maximize sales potential with existing customers. You will report to the Vice President, National and Strategic Accounts.

Securitas clients span the spectrum of business industry, telecommunications, property management, government. Your diversified experience in outside sales, preferably within security operations will be an immense benefit to you as you meet with Securitas prospective and existing clientele.

You will be working in a fast paced, dynamic environment, contributing to the growth of sales in your branch portfolio. You will collaborate with of an effective, experienced team. Presentable and articulate, your communication and interpersonal skills will be crucial as you will be working in an industry with very diverse internal and external clients. Securitas is a world leader in security technology. Your reporting will be accomplished through the use of various web-based information and interfaces.

Travel will be required periodically for business purposes.

Job Requirements

JOB SUMMARY:

Reporting directly to the Vice President of Strategic Accounts, the National Accounts Manager is responsible for establishing and maintaining positive and profitable relationships with customers on behalf of the company.

Responsible for the daily management and oversight of all aspects of the client’s physical guarding and mobile security program, the National Account Manager will place emphasis on ensuring client satisfaction, contract compliance, and developing growth opportunities. 

The National Account Manager operates as the primary contact/subject matter expert for assigned client, providing a single point of contact to support both client and internal Securitas stakeholders.

The position is responsible for providing managerial oversight, process/program support, and strategic direction to local branch offices across the country in support of client’s national program.

As the primary external representative to our customers, the National Accounts Manager must convey a sense of expertise in all of our services in a professional manner.

PRIMARY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  • Completes the quarterly client renewal process (including negotiations & all related documentation).
  • Coordinates financial planning and budget processes.
  • Creates and maintains client Post Orders.
  • Creates strong customer relationships.
  • Ensures the renewal of client contracts within established financial parameters.
  • Establishes and maintains an effective liaison with all assigned clients through regularly scheduled calls and communications as outlined in Best Practices.
  • Manages all aspects of new job start-ups.
  • Mentors and guides Branch Managers and support staff while administering his/her own assigned portfolio of accounts.
  • Resolves all client service issues.
  • Responds and resolves site emergencies and issues.
  • Responsible for overseeing and providing support for National and Strategic Accounts and their managers.
  • Reviews accuracy and appropriate use of Clients Database.
  • Reviews client profitability and related reporting ensuring that results met or exceed branch expectations.
  • Supports Branch Offices throughout the country
  • Investigates accidents and/or critical injuries on-site.
  • Regularly reviews and updates sub-contractor list and rates
  • Other duties as assigned.

POSITION SPECIFICATIONS:

  • Must be self-motivated and have the ability to relate to, and communicate with individuals at all levels.
  • Must be able to organize and prioritize to support an effective/efficient operation and accomplishment of stated goals.
  • Superior communication (both oral and written) and presentation skills.
  • Ability to work equally well in a team environment while being a self-starter.

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:

  • University degree or College diploma in a related field.
  • Minimum of three (3) years’ experience in contract security (preferred) or similar service related industry
  • Industry recognized designation (CPP, PSP, CPO, etc.) are an asset
