Title: Vice President, National Sales

Reports to: Senior Vice President, North American Sales

Base Location: In Canada, and Base City to be negotiated.

THE INDIVIDUAL:

The successful Candidate will be a highly skilled, strategic minded sales professional who is comfortable with - and capable of engaging the largest customers in Canada. The successful candidate will possess an extensive and demonstrable understanding of Securitas’ processes and services and be able to communicate Securitas’ position as the Leader in Protective Services in a compelling manner. The ability to sell the value of our Company is paramount. The successful candidate must be able to work collaboratively within our organization to develop customer-centric solutions for our prospective clients.

Securitas Canada will work in conjunction with the wider North American Sales Group to continue to refine and specialize our operations; this position will report to the Senior Vice President, North America who is based out of Parsippany, NJ. The selected candidate will be based in Canada at a location to be mutually agreed upon. This role offers a competitive compensation package that is commensurate with experience.

Job Requirements

JOB SUMMARY:

Responsible for the direction and management of national sales and business development activities. Utilizes appropriate marketing and sales methodologies to develop profitable business in security services; assesses client satisfaction with delivery of services and identifies additional business opportunities; establishes sales targets to meet Company objectives, and drives achievement of the Company’s customer acquisition and revenue goals.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Participates in the Company’s strategic planning and provides leadership in National business development.
  • Works with the Area Vice Presidents and other Sales Groups, to identify business potential and determine top prospects for National opportunities.
  • Develops annual sales plan in support of the organization’s strategy and objectives.
  • Focuses National Sales efforts on developed and graded leads and develops campaigns to maximize sales efforts.
  • Recommends sales strategies for improvement based on market research and competitor analyses.
  • Prepares reports on status of leads and other reports as required.
  • Arranges for appropriate meetings and presentations on Company capabilities in relation to existing and potential clients.
  • Creates and conducts sales presentations to prospective customers.
  • Develops methods for presentation of capabilities, data to be utilized, audio/visual approach and pricing related to considering client perception of need and Company business goals; directs proposal presentation effort and may lead presentations.
  • Participates in trade associations and trade shows and works with Marketing and other Sales Divisions to assist in other promotional efforts.
  • Assists and drives financial response for customer opportunities, including identifying costing elements to develop sales proposals.
  • Builds strong and enduring relationships and partnerships internally and externally.
  • Demonstrated teamwork and leadership when working with cross-functional Vice Presidents, and other groups and support teams.
  • Performs additional functions, duties and specific tasks of a similar nature and scope as necessary in order to achieve assigned business objectives.
  • Travel: This position requires frequent travel.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, sales and marketing or related field and 10+ years of successful and progressively responsible business development experience. Or, equivalent combination of education and experience to the Company’s satisfaction. Preference will be given to candidates with a demonstrated track-record managing a large national or multi-territory sales organization.
  • A proven sales executive with a demonstrated track record of sales delivery in the Security and/or service industry; or, alternatively, possesses the flexibility to transition successfully into a different industry sector.
